Name: School Absenteeism San Mateo County 2008-2010
Description: The School Absenteeism dataset is a collection of 2 years of tallies of absent students in select schools in San Mateo County, giving school code, zip location and date. Specific school locations have been removed to preserve privacy. Elementary, middle and high schools are part of this dataset, but every school is not represented due to varying compliance with absenteeism reporting. Keep in mind that although a school resides at a certain zip code, it can have students from several neighboring zip codes. Also, reason for absences were not recorded, so there is no distinguishing between an absence for illness versus an absence for a non-health reason.
